Has anyone else had this occur? The Doctor received a prescription refill request on a patient who's been on a particular medication for years. He went to refill it and it was listed as Inactive in the chart. He didn't inactivate it. Not sure why, but this has been happening with increasing frequency on multiple patients. We're on version 10.0.2, unsure if it's a version issue?
Thanks for any input.

Hi Trista.
Is the provider putting a value in the "Course" field when writing a script? This is usually what is happening when I hear this type of scenario. The course field is designed to be used for medications that a person takes for a limited time and finishes, like prednisone. What that field does is automatically inactivate the medication after the number of days that the provider puts in that field. It is not designed to be used for medications that are meant to be refillable.
I hope this helps.

Trista and Mark,
We have had this happen with our practice as well. Same Version of AC. Has happened since we started with 10.2. I have monitored but can not see a consistent pattern. MARK@AC, it happens without anything in the "course" field. My retired partner had this happen all the time, for me it is very rare! We picked on her because she was technically challenged. I have no explanation why this is happening, frustrating but not a deal breaker. Maybe tech support can find a pattern!
