Trista, this comes up periodically.
Try this suggestion by Claire at AC.
Here is another discussion.
I stand by my statement that you have little to lose by ignoring the message; the update just happens later.

I am getting the MedsUpdates Automated Process Failed error for past couple days. Is any one else?

I restarted the amazingcharts services today. I will see if continues. Is this something to be worried about?

This happened to us 11/4/19 and 11/5/19. As above, I don't worry if this rarely occurs. If it continues much longer, I will contact AC.

Hi,

We received the same two messages.

I believe this happened several years ago as well, AC eventually fixed it.

I do not think it is a major concern, just delays the update of the medication database.

That's awesome. Are you getting the 10% off deal for the advertising as I am. I think it is 1% for every year.

I was kidding of course. I think he should the name of his company to MicroSan. Sort of a take off of Microsoft and Sandeep.

This is a company that deters deer using a Wildlife Propane Canon. The last thing they want is publicity. I am more sensitive to this poor animal's plight. I lived just a few miles from where Flag grew up. I have even eaten at The Yearling restaurant. (Ok, so my first date which was at this restaurant went horribly, horribly wrong). I should have known.

Hi everyone,

I have NOT gotten the error message for the last few days. So either the med update worked, or it gave up in frustration.

Out of curiosity-any way to check when meds were updated last?

No deer were injured in the creation of this message.

Thanks

Gene

This is another good thing about the board. A sentence like this which makes you laugh. Amid all the stress.

Gene, you are too funny.

Poor Flag. A Wildlife Propane Canon.

Getting these a lot, mostly since we began having the more frequent crash-on-prescription writing problem. Seems to happen more on the laptops on wifi than on the desktops

I believe most people get them. Anything to do with ePrescribe and EPCS tends to do more with NewCrop and Surescripts. I am still not sure if I should act upon them or not. Most of the time we ignore them unless we hear from the patient.

My advise would be to call the pharmacy and ask if they received the script. I don't mean forever, but to get a sense of how much you should pay attention to these error messages.

Checking whether it went through via the transaction page of the med list or directly through NC if it were sent there, can be helpful. They will often give you helpful information. On the NC screen if you click the magnifying glass next to the medication in the CURRENT MED LIST, it will bring you to the bottom of the page which shows what pharmacy it went to and whether it go there. Sometimes it will say Electronic Success. Sometimes it will say Electronic Verified. Supposedly if it says verified, the pharmacy not only received it, they verified that they did on their end. There are two options to let NewCrop know what is happening. One if the overall problem with the script going through.

The other, more importantly, is the option to the right to allow you to send a message to NewCrop that the pharmacy states they didn't receive it. This MUST be done before you send it again. You WILL most likely receive a response letting you know what NewCrop found. They generally contact the pharmacy and speak with someone, but will speak with Johnny, the person who checks if Zantac is safe, if you write his name in there. This was more helpful in the beginning when pharmacies weren't use to EPCS. But, there may be a major player in your area, say Walmart or CVS who has a systems error.
