I have several plans requesting the new generic albuterol hfa inhaler
It's not showing up on my med list (V10.1.1)
How are others responding to this?

I type in pro air or ventolin hfa, and write generic ok--not sure of how else to do it.

1. Got to ePrescribe
2. Select ePresribing top left
3. Select Manage via NewCrop Screens
4. Type "albuterol" in the Drug Search field and click on Drug Search
5. Second from bottom will be the generic version of albuterol (I believe all inhalers must be HFA)
6. Type in sig and make sure to add quantity (Do not type generic in Pharmacy Message)(You can type HFA in the pharmacy message)
8. Save
9. Codified drug will appear under pending meds. You can prescribe from there.
10. When NC screen is closed, medication is in current meds of AC as codified. If you try to prescribe it, it will not be codified.
11. That doesn't matter, because when you open NC, it will be available again, but you have to click on it and the search drugs results come up.
12. You can add it to your Doctor's List, and you then have it for all patients

Doctor's list (available for any patient any time)

Go to #8.
When medication is in Edit mode click on the check box for Save to Doctor's List.
Close NC screen

Now, anytime you wish to prescribe the medication, when you open NC, select Doctor's list at the top right. It will list all of your saved drugs. When you select one, it will be set to send with one click. So, be careful if you think you will be able to see and change a pharmacy if your select the button on the right. If not, select Review/Prescribe.
