Is there a way to search orders on the View --> Orders screen?

Hi Bert,
The only way I have found to search the order by patient without opening the order section is to right click on the patient name either on the schedule or in the patient list, select "Check In/Out," and then select the "Check Out" tab. On the far right of the screen, select "Open Order" and you will see only the orders for the selected patient.
I hope this helps!

Thanks Gator, I didn't even remember this question was still around. Almost two months. I hope you haven't been toying around to find the solution all this time.

To view an individual patient's orders, go to the patient's chart, "past encounters" tab, and select the "orders" radio button.
Bert, what type of search are you trying to do? The "View orders" screen allows lots of sorting, filtering, etc.

I have recommended numerous times for improvement in this section (past encounters) to hide completed orders and also have a similar filter system to imported items 30 days/60 days .....
I am unable to filter any orders under the past encounters tab Please assist

First, I want it alphabetized by last name, first name like every other name in every other company is listed. Who alphabetizes by first name.
All I want to do is search through my 3000 orders instead of dragging the scroll bar and guessing where the M's are.

Yeah it is nuts that it sorts by first name. If I had 3000 orders in there, I think the first thing I would do is pick an arbitrary date, e.g. 6-12 months ago, and delete all the ones older than that. Odds are you are never going to actually reconcile them all....
