Was wondering of anyone else has encountered this issue since 10/1/17... Had a diagnosis code kick out today for a bad/non specific DX. I wasn't aware this code had been updated. After my research, I attempted to update my claim with the correct ICD-10 code...and ACPM did not have it listed in the main DX code set. I had to manually add it in ACPM and deactivate the old less specific DX code. It would seem that maybe AC/ACPM have not updated their DX code set to reflect the 10/1/17 changes??
Just curious...

Averaging 1-2 claims denied per day due to AC delay in pushing out ICD-10 code changes that occurred 10/1/2017, AC support 10/11/2017 informed me to expect this to automatically be "pushed" out to subscribers in the coming weeks. Each time claims are denied, I have to go into OfficeAlly ClaimFix and type ICD-10 as provide by AC and search in OfficeAlly to find the new additional digits required. Then when OfficeAlly accepts claim and submits to payer, sometime payer rejects claim, I suspect because payer has not updated ICD-10s either, so I have had to be creative and try to find applicable ICD10s that haven't changed with the 10/1/2017 update. Its been hit or miss...

How do you do these things? IE: ("I had to manually add it in ACPM and deactivate the old less specific DX code.") I have occasionally just "mimicked" a code for a single patient by pasting the desired code and description into their assessment list (using icd10data.com info), but it is not available for any other patient. Is there a way to add individual codes to the ICD-10 database? I also didn't know there was a way to "deactivate" a code. This would be very useful as, for instance, the generic "osteopenia" code does not fly for Medicare for DEXA orders, and the Medicare accepted code in AC has the descriptor of "broadened bone," which does not seem appropriate (sorry about the minor rant). TIA

New ICD10 codes for AC were pushed out last week. We're in the process of updating ACPM now. I don't have a firm date yet, probably another week or so, hopefully less.
