I just started using Dragon Medical One in the Cloud a few weeks ago, and was initially just going to upgrade my old server based Dragon, but after a several day free trial was very impressed with how much better it works. My previous Dragon was getting much slower, quite inaccurate and dropping words and sentences at times.
I thought I would include this link as well, it is more costly, a monthly fee with a 3 year contract, but I cannot tell you how much smoother this works, well worth it in my opinion.

Thanks!

Do you find it faster that Dragon locally?

Is the accuracy higher?

Did you upload your Dragon profile, or train from scratch?

Jim,
I understand that Dragon can provide a substantial benefit and may be worthwhile. But am I reading correctly that it is a $525 start up fee, $123 a month with a 3 year contract? So the commitment is for $5000 (for the three years)?

Indy,
Yes to faster locally and more accurate. It is a different process/engine so no training needed, the training is done in real time. So there was no need to transfer my old Dragon profile, the acoustic data is handled differently with the cloud version. However, templates could have been transferred over, but I did not do any templating with dragon.

Jon,
Yes it is pricier, however the start up fee is absorbed a bit by having a reduced monthly fee of 79 per month the first year, so the monthly rate comes to about 123 per month x 3 years=$4428 for 3 years or about $1476 per year, still much better than the transcription fees of 20 years ago around $1000 dollars a month.

So I asked myself if it is worth this amount, for me it is, especially doing more wellness visits and complex plans, able to do quicker and more accurately.
