So in transferring a patient to another practice you use Transfer of Care.
I did not realize until just now that the Imported Items folder is not included.
AC tells me you have to navigate to the Impitems folder on the server and add each file one by one to include them in a transfer.
Our average patient has 30 plus files in Imported Items.
Is there not a more efficient way to do this?

I burn a disc of the entire record....you can go to the storage file and burn the imported file to a disc as well...discs are cheap

hello, I have done this before. The quickest way is to note the patient ID # in AC. From any client computer go to AC folder on main computer , click on imported items - you will see all the imported items folders for each patient- scroll down to the correct ID folder , copy that entire folder to your desk top from there. Then burn that folder to CD just like your progress notes . So you do not have to copy each item separately . The whole process takes less than 5 minutes . Hope this helps Bala
