Hi,
I am using version 9.4.2 build 109 and have slow down issues. Is version 9.3 the most current stable version of Amazing Charts? and is anyone having slow down issues with the current stable version ?

Thanks

I have 9.2, and it is fine. It would help to know more about your problem.

What version did you move from. What clients? Wired vs wireless. Server OS? Etc.

I have 9.3 and often AC collapses when you write prescriptions and needs STAT CPR to resuscitate.
Many times the computer gets more care than the patient.

Satisfy the computer, the software and then the govt (MU/MACRA)and then in the end the patient gets their turn.

Hello,

Could you tell me a bit more about the slow downs you are seeing? There are a number of things that can cause slowness within Amazing Charts, and seeing where it is slow will help identify the problem. We can have our technicians take a look at this if you would like.

Could you give me your practice name and contact information so we can reach out?

Running 9.1 - has been stable, no major problems. For prescription crashes I find it's usually transient Newcrop (3rd party erx clearing) issues. Would like to upgrade to 9.3 or 9.4 whichever seems most stable.

I use v9.2, and it is very stable. I would look at the release notes to see if there are things in 9.3 that are worth happening. My experience has always been that the earlier version is most stable. The other possibility is to as mark@ac. You can find a post from him under "inactivating patients" (link below) on the Most Recent Posts. If you click on his name and choose profile, his email is there. I guess it wouldn't be there if he did want emails. There are a few members of AC support who help like Nick on here. I find that Mark does more than others. He may be able to lead you in the right direction for the most stable version.

The release notes are helpful. If the newest version is for features, it is more likely to be unstable. If it is for many bug fixes, then it may be best.

As for the crashes, I would contact technicalsupport@newcrop.com. They may tell you to contact AC, but at least you will know the thing to do. I have found NC to be very helpful with these things. I am not sure what transient NewCrop is, but they may not be aware of it or they may be very aware and can fix it.

I'm going to go for 9.4. I'm a sucker for features. Will report back.

What I mean by transient Newcrop issues: I suspect whenever Newcrop is down it generates pauses, errors and occasionally crashes on erx. Usually goes away in a few hours or I guess whenever Newcrop is back to working.

NewCrop rarely goes down. Have to remember, everyone is on NewCrop. If you are down, I would be down. I am lucky to have an in at NC. She tells me they are rarely down, and it is Surescripts or other issues.

The frustrating thing is that when NC is down, they IMMEDIATELY notify all EMRs about the problem. The EMRs are supposed to alert us. Nuff said on that.

If you have any issues on your install this weekend, such as restoring from the backup or whatever, email me at badams AT riverviewpediatrics.org_removespam.
