Being able to edit out medications, ICD-9 and CPT codes that is not being used (or canot be used) would be helpful. Has anyone discovered a easy way to delete medications on AC (often misspelled, duplicative, or format that is never used)?

I think that this would be great also. It would speed entry of the most used meds and doses.

Greetings:
I don't think we can edit any of the entries from ICD9/CPT codes/Med list as it is in database company provides.
Re: custom entered medicines- if they are mistyped because of users mistake- over time if not used, it will be removed, as the database keeps only the top aaa used medicines in memory.
Hope this helps. Regards.

You can edit ICD-9 codes through an encounter. Hit the "Search ICD-9" button, enter a code, hit "Edit" or "New." Then you can edit a code description, or add a new code.

You can edit both ICD-9 and CPT codes from the main window. No need to be in an encouter. From view tab you choose Codes (CPT/ICD, the code search window will appear and just below code search you'll find your EDIT button. You can edit all you want, however when the next update to the database is done, all your edit work will be lost. Happy new year ALL.

You can delete meds in the med database if you have microsoft access. I have done this on my "test bed" at home and it seems to work. You open amazing meds and delete names. This database is not password protected like the other ones. I would strongly advise full backup of the database before you attempt this because these relational databases can be twitchy. Another problem I assume, will be when AC upgrades the med database and I bet all the old entries will show back up.
