The box for height (ie., inches or meters), seems to keep toggling in my AC. How can I default it permanently to "inches"?

This used to happen to me when I would use Dragon NaturallySpeaking. It is known as the "inch bug". Here's the fix:

Obviously this does not apply if you are not using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

Nededog,

Welcome to AC. Wow, there must be something about April since there seem to be a lot of new ACers.

I have found over the years that there are small areas of the program that have gone unchanged for too long and are in bad need of overhaul. The vital signs area is one of them. Too many issues to list for now, but I have never understood why it toggles between INCHES AND METERS. Shouldn't it be centimeters. If I do get the height metrically, I have to carefully enter it. I haven't had your issue.

But, then what can you expect when our hospital weighs the babies in grams and tells the parents the pounds (of course), does the length in inches and the head circumference in centimeters. The intensive care units record the temperatures in celcius while the regular floors record in farhenheit. Go figure.
