This would help A LOT, and since it is already an option on the summary page screen, seems like an easy fix. It's Saturday and you notice a patient has syphilis and needs to come in Monday for a shot of Bicillin. You could then send a message (without the cumbersome nature of creating a message in Updox), and he or she could make an appointment first thing Monday morning. Currently care is delayed since we usually send a note, but that note is not sent by the staff until Monday through Updox.
The message would also need to be saved to AC. Not sure these are saved currently. And if they are not read, do we still get a "not read" message using the "Secure Message" button?

And when signing off items, another "Secure Message" button would be amazing. I just had a patient send an Updox message which I signed off on in AC asking about his next appt. I wanted to send him a quick message, but I have to send a letter (slow and MA's have to send) or otherwise compose a message myself by going to Updox, find him, compose, and send. One button on this page would make this SO MUCH EASIER. Just put those "Secure Message" buttons everywhere!
But please make sure they are saved to AC too.

I agree. Currently I review and sign off items, print them to updox and send a separate message in updox to the patient.
Even better than a secure message button on sign off would be a way to copy the signed-off lab/report with the message.

Dr Lee,
Did you make this suggestion through the "recommended Improvements" under the Help tab? Amazing Charts looks at these requests and if they get enough of them they'll be placed on a higher priority. I think it's a good suggestion

Yes, I even marked it urgent! I really think this is a bug that has needed to be fixed WAY TOO LONG. Humans make mistakes, and with 7 providers and lots of labs, at least once a week the wrong lab gets sent to the wrong patient. This is a flaw with AC and Updox, the fix does not seem that complicated, and I think it needs to be done ASAP. Others if you feel the same please also send under "recommended improvements".
Thanks,

this would be great. But are we sure that Updox and AC are working together as hard as they can?

Hmmmm Todd. I definitely think there is room for improvement! But I really feel, with the "Secure Message" button already in AC, it shouldn't be hard for AC to move that "Secure Message" button around and add to other screens where we can actually use it when needed.
