Hi,

Any suggestions for a printer for a solo office? my Brother MFC just broke.

Thanks,

For a solo office that doesn't churn out a ton of paper, I like this model: Brother MFCL2740DW Wireless Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax

The generic consumables can be hit-or-miss, but toners can be picked up for under $15 on Amazon.

Thank you Gianni! Does yours last long. My current MFC-8480DN lasted ~5 years.

Five years is a *long* time for any kind of tech device. If you can get 5 years out of a printer, you're well ahead of the curve.

Typically, i feel like any kind of tech device is semi-obsolete after about 3 years.

I have really enjoyed the MultiFunctionCopiers from Brother. We have currently a Brother MFC8950DW It does scanning, copying, and printing. The DW shows it's wireless, so you can print from (direct) D: ethernet or W: from WiFi. They seem to last for a long time and toner is reasonable.

I've had two Brother 7860 DW multifunctions and three 2270DW printers for 5 years and they've been flawless. Toner is inexpensive especially when you enable toner saver mode.
