So, if you are using a Mac but running Windows in Parallels, would you use Dragon Mac or PC?

Chris,

Dragon Dictate Medical 5 is a little more out of the box accurate because it uses the Dragon 13/14 speech engine while DMPE2 uses the Ver. 12 speech engine but using DMPE2 in Windows, on Parallels, is going to be considerably more functional and more adaptable because Dragon Dictate Medical 5 is basically a consumer version of Dragon Dictate with medical vocabularies. In our opinion, there's a big difference between professional grade and consumer grade Dragon and that's why we would stick with DMPE2. Once you have begun tweaking your personal DMPE2 vocabulary, your accuracy will increase and in time, overtake Dragon Medical 5 accuracy.

Tom, any idea when Nuance will be updating DMPE to the Dragon 13/14 speech engine?

I think Nuance could get the update done faster if they would divert some resources from spamming my inbox every day with their other (crappy) software offers.

John,

first rule of Dragon products is to activate but don't register! I will DM you the answer to the first part of your question.
