We are trying to figure out how to get our numbers correct on meaningful use. We send all lab orders through AC and the lab company sends them back, however our numbers aren't matching. We have 1000's of results and only 4 or 5 orders sent. Our nurses input all of the orders into the system from our handwritten notes. Even though they are putting that it was ordered by the physician, it is not counting towards our number? Any suggestions for a way around this? Having the same issue with medication reconciliation. We have authorized nurses to be able to reconcile meds at the time of the visit, but again, it is not accounting towards our numbers for meaningful use.
