We have server 2012 and use a Mainpine fax server. We are trying to share an address book for faxing. I had read about sharing server contact folder so that it can be accessed by work stations. I can't figure out how to do this. Does anyone know how to do this, or how to share an address book for faxing. Any suggestions?

How do you copy them?

We were able to share the contacts but once we need to send new fax we click on fax contacts, then click on the folder on the network that has server contacts, then double click on users, then double click admin, then double click contacts, then click on the appropriate recipient.

You could make a shortcut to the network folder with the contacts rather than going through all the clicks. People with Outlook have the ability to share address books/contact books with Windows Fax and Scan. I'll double check.

hello ,
here is what worked for me.
Go the contacts folder on the computer you want to have the contacts on and share it.
then go back to the main computer and right click the contacts folder and use the 'send to' option.
The contacts are exported to the other computer without losing it on the main computer.
worked with win 8.1
hope this helps
Bala
