Hello intrepid 8.2.5ers. I have had an interface with the local lab for the past five years. Since upgrading from 6.3.3 to 8.2.5 lab results are no longer grouped by patient/date, but each of the patient's individual labs/panels are coming in on a separate line to messages for sign-off. So, instead of 3 patients with 4 panels each, requiring a total of 12 clicks to sign off, I get 12 lines of results requiring 48 clicks to complete. GA looked at it briefly and thinks it's a problem on the lab's end. Lab says they had the same issue with another upgraded local AC user that turned out to be an AC problem. Meanwhile, the stacks of improperly imported and filed labs keep piling up. Anybody have this problem and remember the solution?
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

While this is not a solution to your problem, this will help sign off labs quickly. As long as the lab is normal and requires no further action hold the ALT button down, hit "S" twice then hit enter on keyboard. Will save you clicks

On a side note, how is the speed difference between 6.3.3 and 8.2.5? I'm thinking of upgrading from 6.5.5 in the next couple weeks

Hey Marty,
Thanks for the shortcut. You know all the tricks. I've not noticed any significant slowdown with 8.2.5 except e-prescribing takes about 2 seconds longer to send. I did it for icd10--guess we'll see in a couple of weeks how that works out. Running on i7 "server" with 16GB memory and SSD drive, set up by Indy.

Also, I think we've discovered the importing labs problem is on our end with the local lab. Unbeknownst to me they updated my interface from ftp to "hub and spoke" about the time the problem arose, so they are working on it now. I'll let you know how it turns out. I looked back at the incoming labs and the problem did not start immediately with the 8.2.5 conversion, but about a week later.
