We've always required that patients provide us with their SSN. With the increased occurances of CC fraud and Id theft, I want to better insure that we are not responsible for a patient's information being compromised.
I've noticed that when you print out a Summary, the patient's SSN is printed on the sheet. It would be nice if printing of the SSN could be suppressed when printing out a patient's demographics. We still want to collect it though. When you have to send someone to collections, its often needed.
