my open charts in the Inbox can grow quickly; is there a way to search for a specific patient in the inbox, as opposed to going back to the appointment date and searching all open charts for that specific date?

Other than selecting charts only (Show Charts) in the drop down box directly over the Inbox (which will eliminate labs, orders, sign offs and co-signs) you have to manually search.

You can sort the columns -- so if it is different dates or times, or sent to the inbox by different nurses or other physicians you can click the top of the column and at least narrow down the choices.

column sort - perfect; I had not tried that - at least that makes it easier to track down a specific name, or time of entry
thank you!

One area where AC drives me crazy whether it is in the column sorting as above, but in every column sorting. Say you are trying to find the status of an ePrescribe under ePrescribing | status, it is sorted by first name. This is probably the only application I have ever used that sorts by first name.
