We had to do this recently to be able to apply for Medicaid MU. We were told that it is not real-time transmission, but by batch files that are sent daily, weekly, etc, based on your patient load/transmission history.
We haven't yet confirmed this batch file information as MU CQM Menu 8 states: "perform at least one test submission.....and conduct follow up submission if the test is successful". Since we don't participate in Vaccine for Children (VFC), FL shots told us we don't really need to be sending them tetanus and flu vaccine information as that isn't what the system is really for.
We found the FL Shots very helpful in setting up the online interface, just contact them at (877) 888-SHOT(7468).
