Well guys, I tried Avisena for a few months and it was the worst decision I have ever made. I have finally recovered from it but it is mind boggling how many errors and missed billing there was and we were doing most of the work. I have to agree with DO NOT OUTSOURCE BILLING!!! I am for now handling it myself with the aid of a wonderful clearinghouse called Navicure that is so User Friendly, I would call it dummy proof, lol. By the way, I use EZclaim for my billing program. Not great but very versatile.

how much is it costing you to use navicure? I am currently doing a combo of AC/quickbooks and Office ally.

Navicure cost $100 per month for clearinghouse, I believe it is unlimited submissions.
There is an extra fee for add ons like ERA, etc.
There was a setup fee for them to do the paperwork to all of the insurance companies, you just have to sign. Excellent service. They always answer the phone by the third ring. It is their policy. I think the set up fee was $1000.
I know it is a lot, I hated it but I am happy. Well worth it.

Has anyone used the AC billing service yet which I think charges 5% and follows up on denied claims ? Thanks.
