Wish we had an easy way to click on a prescribed med, see historically when it was started, when it was refilled and where it was refilled.
Also many patients realistically have 2 pharmacies. A mail order for Maintenace meds and a local one for acute fills, it would be nice to be able to save both of those pharmacies in AC

It would really be nice to have, for each patient, a Mail Order pharmamcy (if they have one) and a regular/acute pharmacy.

This is in the works, I believe

This is one thing that Epic can do
Leslie Hospital Employed Physician Who Misses The Old AC
"It's a good thing for a doctor to have prematurely grey hair and itching piles. It makes him appear to know more than he does and gives him an expression of concern which the patient interprets as being on his behalf. "

Congrats, Leslie. You found the one thing Epic can do that AC cannot!

Keep an eye out for a product coming to market soon, Medherent, currently involved in clinical study at UMD and soon to be NIH. Integration of Medherent with an existing EHR will cover the OP's needs, as well as take great steps towards improving patient adherence and simplifying communication between provider, patient, and pharmacy.

Good News! Amazing Charts 8.0 available later this year will indeed support multiple preferred pharmacies as Wendell eluded to. Development has been completed so I can share the good news! In coming weeks, I'll be sharing a few other new features you can expect to see in 8.0 as they get completed.

I just want to be sure that this announcement does not pass unnoticed... Chris is telling us that the next major update of AC (coming this fall) will include the ability to select two pharmacy preferences (e.g. a local and a mail away). While not exactly a game-changer, this is a feature that has been requested for a long time by many users...hopefully it is one of a series of fixes fitting that description.

That's great. I'm just curious why a new version is already being slated for this year if V7 isn't even public yet. Are there going to be other big changes in V8?

The 7.1 links were posted last week so they're now public. I'll be posting the 8.0 enhancement list in the near future as development is completed. Spoiler Alert.....We have a new Spellchecker!

Dr. Singla,
Although not done without a lot of clicks, you can go to the prescribing page and get some of this information.
Go to MOST RECENT ENCOUNTER, click WRITE SCRIPTS, select the medication in the Current Medications List (AC will check formulary) then click the "History" button. This will give you when the med was started, refills and when it was stopped. It won't tell you where it was sent though
