We have been using AC for I believe 9 years.
We used to outsource our billing and just write a superbills later sent to the billing company.
We brought billing in house about 1 year ago with AdvancedMD as practice management.
Initially, we got a batch import of our billing database from the prior billing company and manually input new patients.
We got tired of the double entry in each system and 2 months ago went for the X-link with the hope to only input demographic changes in AdvancedMD and also to get the CPT and ICD codes sent back to AdvancedMD when signing AC notes.
The problem is that AC does not pick up some of the info transferred from AdvancedMD via the X-link.
It does not picks up the provider, meaningful use info, and email. So, there is still double entry of this items in both systems.
I was told that with the upgrade to V7.1.1 (which we did 2 weeks ago)this would have been corrected but it is not.
I believe the X-link is working properly and if fact is a problem within AC interface not picking up this Items. We paid $500 for the AC interface part and $2000 for the X link and still doing some double entry. Once this is corrected it can be considered a great time-saver investment.
