We are troubleshooting having issues of Imported Items being slow. Checking the resource monitor network tab on the client machine when there is just one client machine and the server running, and no activity in Amazing charts, there seem to be 4 or 5 instances of AC connector running, using up over one megaBYTE/sec of network, even when nothing is happening. What is this about?

David,

I had a similar issue. I would reboot the computer that had the AC connector and that would speed things up for a bit. Then after a while things would slow down again.

Install Updox Central and use that instead of AC Connector. That should solve your problem. We haven't had that issue anymore since the install. Jon in Baltimore had the same issue as well.

Thanks, Marty. Maybe that will help. Was the slowing generalized, or more noticeable on imported items?

The slowing was generalized to AC but definitely noticeable when trying to access imported items. I had this problem a couple years ago. I posted here but no one else seemed to have the problem (except Jon). I called Updox and they had me look at resources and the connector was using a lot of memory. Once I installed Updox Central problem solved. Updox Central also has a cool feature allowing you to print to Updox even if the PC doesn't have Updox installed on it. You can't run the AC Connector and Updox Central at same time.

It's pretty easy to install , let me know if you have any problems

I checked, and we are running UpDox central, but still showing the connector issue. Is the AC connector supposed to be uninstalled if we use Central?

Yes, uninstall AC Connector. Updox Central is to run in place of AC Connector
