Last year, AC had promoted a new check-in procedure for patients. There was even a video tutorial on the website. This tutorial is no longer there.
Is the new check-in procedure implemented in version 6.6.5 or 6.6.6? (ooh, is dat a version numbers? seems inauspicious.)
Please tell me (truthfully) that it is implemented.

Yes, it's been there since the 6.3's I think

Great. But it must have been there for 6.3.4. Since I have 6.3.3. But what's important is that it is in the current version (wish they still had that video posted).
Thanks Wendell.

no, just the "Check in/Check out" button on the new version. It lets you put in their copay when they arrive, amongst other things. But the overall new account sheet has some problems.

Wayne, I know this is off-topic, but could you answer a check-out question? Can you tell me if in 6.6 you can submit billing for the patient before signing-off on the note?

No. There is a way that while in the note you can go and add stuff to the superbill, but no you cannot submit billing before signing off on the note. Unfortunately.

A question on the new check-in screen. There is a section for Practice Documents and it has a check box by documents for "signed." Is the check box to signify if patients need to sign the document, or is it to signify that the physician needs to sign-off the document?

Wayne,
I'm running 6.6.7 and the Check-In is still there though we don't use it.
There used to be a screen on the AC website that listed the details of each version but recently that was removed and squirreled away. Now to access that info you have to click on the Client Portal tab on the AC website home page. Then scroll down and in the teal blue box click on "Click Here to download the latest version of Amazing Charts." If you scroll to the bottom it lists the details of each of the updates from 6.5.6 to 6.6.7. I would never have found it in a million clicks without help from tech support.

I've been using the check in , and I actually kind of like it. But I haven't seen anything that tells me exactly what the "sign" checkbox is supposed to be for.
