I have been enjoying providing electronic refills in response to requests. However, every time it is done this way, an addendum is added to the list of visits. Now the history is filled with 75% addendums on some patients. Is there a way to turn this off?! thanks

We are also having this issue. I spoke with tech support today, they say they can not shut this off because it is part of the medical record...... AC saves the date of refill under medication history, so we see no reason this needs to be saved as an addendum. We do not create an addendum everytime a patient calls in for a refill or we get a fax from the pharmacy for a refill. I agree, the addendums are now a cluster of refills. If a patient has 10 different medications refilled this way on a given day, there are 10 addendums created. We enjoy this feature, so do the pharmacies, but we may ask to have it shut off if this is the way it is going to be.

If you don't want all the addendums, you can have the electronic refills turned off but then have to deal with all the faxes.

We are just turning on the prescription refills. Does it continue to create an addendum as described above?

Yes, all medication refills/denials creates an addendum. It is what it is, not perfect but I learned to live with it.
