Hello. I have read in this blog that printing from some hospital web sites is not available in Windows 8.1. Does anyone know if that applies to the Cigna website? I have a client that is not able to print from this website while using Win 8.1. Does anyone know of any tricks?

Hi jasman,

http://www.winbeta.org/news/mozilla-delays-firefox-windows-81-yet-again-time-march-18th

Some people are getting the current firefox to work "okay" on 8.1, others crashing. Don't know if it will print.

I have installed firefox on the machines. I have asked the practice manager to attempt to print from the Cigna website. I will let you know the results.

Just to be clear. Firefox is delaying the Metro version for Windows 8.1. If you want to use the Metro interface for Firefox, it's still in development. The desktop version is fully functioning on Windows 8.1.

When I mentioned the issue with 8/8.1, I was referring to Internet Explorer. You can't roll back to previous versions which a lot of hospitals still use. Firefox and Chrome should be unaffected if your hospital loads in there. Frequently, hospitals needs to take advantage of the "extra security" of Internet Explorer for their applications to work smoothly.
