I am moving my paper charts over into AC but my nurses have saved charts into their Inboxes rather than submitting them for Sing-Off so any final chart adjustments could be made if necessary, rather than attaching an Addendum to every chart. I am now attempting to upgrade to AC 6.5.6, BUT I have to ensure that an AC backup will protect and backup all of the charts that are still in everyone's Inbox. I don't want those charts to be lost, of course.
Does anyone know how backups handle Inbox content?

An AC backup will backup all of the inboxes and their content. It is an image of everything *in* the EMR at the point that the backup is started.
What that means is that backing up of the Imported Items, patient pictures, etc that reside outside of the AC database need to be included (default is excluded) or backed up manually.
An example is the folders that contain interface data.
Some thoughts: <>5.6.5?? The most current release is 6.6.2, and while not perfect, it addresses several known issues in 6.5.6 and 6.6.1 <>You should take a *full* back of the machine that is the "AC server", as there is no easy way back from this upgrade. <>If you use the billing functionality of AC, know that it's behavior has changed in the new versions, as well as the reporting

Indy, thank you very much for the assist; my main concern was ensuring that the work that my nurses have done does NOT get wiped away from their Inboxes during the upgrade procedure. I will make more backups before I proceed.
