I thought it would be great if the program allowed you to enter a nickname or AKA which would show up on the pt list - so many of my patients use an entirely different name than their real one - Pinky, Bunny, Mike short for Albert -- it also helps for pt. who are almost offended by use of their real name (like Myrtle) and are only known as Sue or something like that. If other people think this is useful you should all use the recommend improvement button (actually Jon said this since his staff get all of that information).

We add that info in the yellow "sticky note" area in demographics along with copays/overdue balances/need for 30 min appt/PITA info. It doesn't show up til you highlight the pt's name, but at least the staff can add that nickname to the superbill so the pt gets called by the preferred name. Does this help??

Is Mike really short for Albert?

Hey, that's not funny!! One of those examples Steven used is my actual nickname. P.S. It's not MIKE.
