Is anyone having problems with billing in version 6.6.1?
Ever since I upgraded, I have only been able to print one CMS-1500 at a time.
I usually print these in bulk every day for the biller so this is obviously a concern.
Spoke to AC tech support many times with no answers.
I would be surprised if I am the only one seeing this.
Any help would be appreciated.

We are having the same issues! We have not been able to reconcile or bill out since upgrading over weekend.

Indy our cloud host is awesome and working with AC as well as our OM.

They are on a conference call with AC right now.

I will let you know if we find a solution or work around.

We just finished conference call again with Indy and AC.
There is no quick fix for the billing issues.
Are we the only practice that reconciles daily?

We have not been able to bill out and now have to pay to go back to 6.3.

Please Please anyone thinking about upgrading make sure your billers meticulously check this out.

I will try and list the specific issues we are having in next message.

My wife's office ran into EXACT SAME issue. They too use CMS1500 forms in place of Super Bills/Charge Slips to give to their billing company. I wrote them many emails. In fact, they acknowledge that it is indeed a bug introduced in Version 6.6.1. AC does not seem to care enough to fix this right away.

Well I have solution. I sent you (tfh6044) a detailed email to your gmail account explaining how problem was fixed.

Pete et al., first of all, my condolences... I know this must be a major headache.
A question that might help the rest of us... if we do NOT use AC for billing, and do not print CMS forms... what impact will these problems have if we upgrade to 6.6? Is it a requirement to codify the insurances or can they just be left as they are in 6.3.3?

Hey Jon,

If you dont bill you should be fine. A few bugs in orders and is slower takes more memory.

Thanks

Niels,

Thank you for your help. I guess we don't use the 1500 forms which is good because we can't print them anyway.
I would like to still see how your work around.

Thank you

By 'these problems' if you mean 'not able to mass print CMS1500 forms' using 'Print All' button then there is no impact. In that case, if you upgraded to 6.5.6 from 6.3.3 then upgrade to 6.6.1 by all means.

Did 6.5 have any of these billing issues?

I wrote a program in Visual Basic to take care of the broken 'Print All' button. Here is the procedure.

1. First 'Pull' CMS1500 forms for desired the date range (or daily). Then select CMS1500 forms bullet and click 'Run' to create (pink) CMS1500 forms. This is exactly same as it was done in the previous versions 6.3.3 and 6.5.6.

2. Then run the Visual Basic program. Tell it the number of forms AC has created. Visual Basic program takes care of printing all these CMS1500 forms to a regular printer or to a pdf printer (I use PdfCretor with Autosave to a folder called CMS1500 with pdf file names as <counter>.pdf

3. Once all the CMS1500 forms are printed, I merge them into one big pdf file and upload it to my billing company's secure ftp sever instead of giving them old paper super bills/charge slips.

Step 2 is the only extra new step because 'Print All' button is broken in version 6.6.1.

I hope this helps.

6.5.6 would not let you create CMS1500 forms if there was any missing information with regards to patient's insurance. It was crashing during creating CMS1500 forms. In my opinion, version 6.5.6 should not have been released at all. Very poor beta testing, I guess.

If anyone needs the program that provides the functionality of the broken 'Print All' button for CMS1500 forms, please send me an email at sshah@twmi.rr.com.

I will email you a zipped file back with the installation program. As mentioned above in my previous post, once you tell this program the number of CMS 1500 forms to print, it will do what 'Print All' did in previous versions (6.3.3 and 6.5.6) of AC.

IT IS FREE because I know the frustration of not being able to bill insurance companies in a timely manner and interruption in cash flow.

One hour conference call with AC over same issue:
Their answer was it was "user error".
Not good. I will keep working for solution but in the mean time we have to bill so we are going to probably roll back to 6.3.
I heard 6.5 has several issues also.
