According to the change log for v6.5.6, "All prescribers can now select a default prescription printer."

I am trying to set this default prescription printer. However, the only place I can seem to find to set such a printer, is in the "Set Prescription Format" section of the Administrative Options. This would seem to set the default prescription printer on a system-wide basis. I would like to set this on a per user basis.

I had a chat with technical support, and they told my to select "Preview Prescriptions" in order to print to a printer other than my computer's default printer. I have been doing this for some time now.

It would appear to me that the change log is incorrect, and that there is no way to set a default prescription printer on a per user basis. Am I wrong? If so, I need help in setting this per user.

I have also tried to set a default prescription printer for each of my users, but it seems to only work globally for the entire Amazing Charts program. Using version 6.5.

I have 6.3.3 and you can set a default printer. I just send to my regular Brother, but I do have another printer set up for the non-copyable Schedule II script paper.

Since I print both prescriptions and patient instructions and lab forms, my "Rx printer" is set as default, and I select the "Main" printer for everything else. Once you get used to doing it, it becomes second nature. However my staff's default printer is the "Main" printer, as they do not print prescriptions.

Your printing demands will go down substantially if you start sending them electronically

Actually now I mostly print only controlled drugs or for the few pharmacies that never seem to "get" our electronic submissions.
