Recently returned from a vacation in Minnesota and a relative who writes software/runs small IT company suggested Ubuntu/Rasperry Pi to my 13 year old son to transition from gaming to a deeper understanding of the clean crisp free OS of Ubuntu in conjuction with a Rasperry Pi. Any thoughts or experience with either or both anyone???

The benefit: Your son would never have to learn that dreaded phrase, "Do you want fries with that?"
The downside: This is how Edward Snowden got started.
