1st off-it is AMAZING THAT AC gives us a patient by patient report on our MU. In looking at other emrs, haven't found that. Help with MU with other emrs is spotty at best and often costs extra.
What I want to know is about Core 12, 13, and 14 and how we verify. I know #14 is by attestation. How does AC pick up the data?

Hi Dr Roberts,
First off, lets start with the easy one. Core 14 is no longer required for MU Stage 1 in 2013. You no longer need to attest to this measure.
For Core 12, you need to provide an electronic copy of the clinical summary to 50% of all patients who request it (if you have no requests by patients for this information, you can claim an exclusion... most proactices do this because patients rarely request this information. I did this once with my PCP and he gave me an evil look.. lol). To do this measure, just click on the patients summary sheet and click the "Clinical Summary" button under the export section (bottom right). This will prompt you to export the clinical summary for the patient.
For 13 is a big one however. There is no real exclusion for this (the exclusion is if you have had no office visits during the reporting period). The clicical summary needs to be printed for over 50% of all office visits. To do this, simply click the "Print Instructions" button in the patient's Most Recent Encounter screen (it's right next to the Sign Off button). On the next screen either click "Print to Default Printer" or click "Preview" and print each page individually. I'll also give you guys a little hint, you don't actually have to print the summary to get credit for it. If you just hit "Preview" and close out of both letters that appear, you will get credit. This might only work with versions 6.3.3 and earlier. I have not tested this with 6.5 yet.
As always, feel free to reach out to me if you need help with anything MU related.

I'll send you an email later if it still seems to be going that way. You guys have been great in helpng us with MU, just don't want to fall of track after 1st attestation

Hello, I have successfully used your MU module and been paid nicely - thank you. There is one bug that is impacting me significantly as I go into the next phase. When I print instructions it gets counted for a clinical summary and that is all fine as long as I complete the chart then. Unfortunately, I am frequently completing charts the next morning and then the print that I did when the patient was there is no longer registered in the MU screen. I then have to remember to re - print to have it counted which is a nuisance and I forget so my numbers don't reflect what I am actually doing. I have sent in a bug report but would like to have some confirmation that you are aware of this problem and working on it. Thank you, Avery Wood

Hi Avery Mine doesn't seem to count it even when I close on the same day. The blessing we have with Amazing Charts is that we do have a patient by patient MU Wizard. Many of the others only have a generalized MU wizard and you don't know what you need to do for a particular patient.

I have not defined the time frame - at some point it "forgets" - less than 24, more than a few hours. A

I am wondering, is this a bug that has been recognized? Is there a plan to fix it? A
