On the "home page" of AC there is a number in parentheses indicating the number of E-refills pending. After all the refill requests have been processed number "3" remains: (3) Does anyone know why this does not become zero when there are no more E-refills to process?

Hi Ted,
I am on v 6.1.2, so I can only speak for that version or earlier.
2 possibilities:
1) Designed, if there is another provider in your practice (like my PA) their requests will be indicated in parenthesis.
2) Bug. If I hit "Reject and write new rx" (or whatever it is called exactly) that rx will not be included in the main number, but will still be included in the parenthesis. To get rid of the "phanom scripts" rerun the database tuner.

I don't know why this occurs, but it has happened to me several times since I moved from ver 5 to 6. As Gene says, you can clear the "phantom" refill requests by running the Database Tuner on the main computer (the same program that you run when you upgrade to a new version). Make sure you use the correct tuner for your version, and make a back up first (although I have never had a problem).

I believe that the counter being off is a know bug. I understand the irritation factor of having the counter being off, but if running the DB tuner fixes it, then, there you go.

Hi Ted,
After running the database tuner, avoid the "Deny and write a new rx" option. Just use "Deny".
I'll bet the phantom numbers in parenthesis won't come back.

The whole system is a bug. Gene, slow down, you are going to pass me on the post count.

Gene, slow down, you are going to pass me on the post count. Bert, I actually think of myself as a repository of random information, largely related to past problems/mistakes of mine. If this information can help someone else out, so much the better! At my current posting rate, I will catch up to you in the year 2317. Gene

I need to report on how quickly we respond to our refill requests. It should be "trackable" since amazing charts can log when we receive the request and when we respond.
How can I do this??
Thanks
