Not sure if this thread is a good spot to ask this, but here it is.

The new 6.5 will run on server 2012 essentials and windows 8? I assume yes, but wanted to clarify since there were issues with windows 8 before.

I assume you mean 2011 Essentials, and yes, I would guess it will be compatible with that. It has Windows on Windows. I believe it will run on Win 2008, but look at the bright side. If it doesn't you can go back to Win7!

I actually meant server 2012 essentials. The one that replaced the small business server 2011. The one with the tiles and no start button. The server equivalent of windows 8 (touch screen optimized operating system).

I guess we're not 100% sure but hopefully someone from IT have tested this and knows the definite answer.
