Hi,

There may be some among you who are having problems with printing and reconciling when you have this particular combination:

1. Quickbooks
2. Adobe Acrobat
3. Microsoft One Note

There appears to be no one-stop solution, but rather, several that you can try. Googling this problem is mind-numbing because of the number of hits you'll get. Most of them area dead-end anyway. I'd start here:

I have all three along with a few more and no issues. Strange.

QB 2010
One Note 2010
Acrobat X Pro

Same versions? If so, then my next suspect becomes the HP 1018 driver.

Yeah - I think QB got the printing bugs worked out with the more recent versions.

Sandeep,

Would you recommend that he go into msconfig and only load two at a time.

I have on only very few occasions had issues with programs conflicting. Also, Adobe makes their software worse and worse with each version. For instance, v9 is better than v10. On another note, Office Suite 2013, has maybe one thing in the whole package that makes it worthwhile.

On another note, I could not run back to OneNote 2007 fast enough. Hopped right back over 2010. The funny thing is it is sold out on quite a few online stores (probably because they don't carry too much stock).

I do recall (and only EE could fix it) that Office 2010 64-bit was not compatible with Adobe X.

Just as an aside. I went to this one company that was selling OneNote 2007 (Don't ask me why I can't find my old CDs), but it sold them for $49.00 each for two. It said it shipped, but then they said it was back ordered. I am going to wait, but this company offered to send Office SUITE 2010 Pro overnight for the same price. Back in 2010, that could be an $800.00 suite.

I just upgraded to Adobe Acrobat X1. Adobe has given me its own share of grief.

I may ruffle the feathers of the super-ethical, but companies often sell student/teacher versions of software for a fraction of the retail price.

And here's maybe the best deal of all. Microsoft offers what's called a "Technet Subscription"

http://www.amazon.com/Technet-Std-2...61120432&sr=8-1&keywords=technet

In a nutshell, it gives you a couple of keys for just about all the non-enterprise programs MS makes. It's for evaluation purposes, but I couldn't do much of the virtual machine experiments w/o this. It's an absolutely tremendous deal for the tinkerers among us.
