Is someone out there using UPDOX so I can run a test with fictitious data?
Thanks and best regards Helen B. Hernandez Vera Endocrine Associates, Inc.

Actually I was just looking into it. I would be very happy to give it a try. I saw an earlier thread that suggested we each make a screen shot of what we have done and exchange those as well. Let me know if you want to go ahead and I will create a fake patient and try to send it to you through updox. Incidentally, we are allowed to fail with trial to attest as long as we have made the attempt. Good luck with attesting. I know I will need it! Shara Kronmal MD (Child Psychiatrist)

Hi,
I would be interested in this exchange also. I am not quite sure how this works through UpDox since we just started using it last month. If you could fill me in on the details and what I need to send you and how, I will be more than happy to oblige.
Thanks, Brian

Hi Everyone! I'm new to the boards....
I too would be very interested in exchaging with someone. I am new to updox, have the free version for now. We also have already made up a couple of fictitious patients that we practice with.

To set up Secure Messaging in Updox: 1. Click the Refer & Share button at the top right of the Updox window. 2. Click Send Invitation 3. Provide the other physicians or practice's name and either email or fax number 4. Click Send Invitation
You should receive an acceptance as a Secure Message (gold colored bar identifies this type of message) from the other practice. You may now send fake patient data via Secure Message, and meet criteria for MU 14.
If you would like to set up messaging with me, send to John Ryan, ryanjoATmyupdox.com (replace AT with @).
Good luck.

We have an Updox account we use for testing and demonstration, so all we have is test dummies; they do have some interesting medical histories.
If someone hasn't gotten their exchange done yet, drop me a PM.

Hope I'm not being a kill-joy, but the following FAQ from HHS seems to suggest that Core Measure 14 can't be met by using a document management system with a certified EHR system, unless the document management system is also certified. http://healthit.hhs.gov/portal/server.pt?open=512&mode=2&objID=3163&PageID=20773 health.it.hhs.gov As an Updox user, I'd love somebody to explain that this FAQ doesn't mean we can't send a CCD via an Updox Portal to meet Core Measure 14.

Updox states that their software will help their users qualify for Stage 1 Meaningful Use, specifically Core Criteria 14. When dealing with government, I always remember this quote from the movie "V": There is no certainty, only opportunity
