I found this to be helpful when I was renewing prescription requests for my nurse. When I showed her, she was "amazed".
When a prescription request is not automatically matched to a med on the list because we have not yet entered it into the patient list one shortcut for adding the med to the list and renewing it is the following:
1. right click the unmatched request 2. click deny and prescribe new 3. enter the prescription in the prescription writer screen and click prescribe at the end. 4. instead of prescribing in the next screen (by printing or sending to the pharmacy, click CLOSE. 5. you will be brought back to the refill request screen. 6. double click the red text in the unmatch script again and now match it to the newly entered med. 7. enter number of refills and process as usual.
hope this is helpful, let me know if any questions.

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for the tip. It worked flawlessly. The only think is I don't generally do those so I don't know if it is quicker or not until I show my MA.
