I have a template that I put in the ROS and the PLAN under Preventative, but I have to go looking for the info.

Is there some easy way to include these things in tracked data? Or some other way to have a reminder come up?

As far as I know the track items have to be set in admin section for colonoscope, mammogram, PT/INR, etc.

Hope this helps.

Yes I have them in tracked data...

But it makes the tracked data list lengthy and you cant view the entire thing without printing it.

It would be nice if there was a seperate place for preventative reminders -

For instance, You are doing an annual physical on a 39 year old male. There is a check box list of items that are commonly done - Chest x-ray, UA, EKG, Colonoscopy, Mammogram, Pap, Lipid Panel, DRE/PSA, bone scan etc....You check off the items applicable to that patient that you are doing or referring the patient out for. By clicking the radio button, the date would default to the date of the patients most recent office vist, or you could have the option of manually changing the date

This tells the Prev. Care tracking that they were done or ordered and ties them to the complete physical.

Then a year and half later, the patient comes in for a sick visit - when you open his chart, a pop up notice comes up that he is overdue for his...whatever it was that you checked off, plus now that he is 40 he also is due for a DRE/PSA.

It would need to be tied to current guidelines and the gender of the patient of course.

It would need to be tied to the letter generator somehow so that you could just click a button to generate a "You are due for your...." letter to be mailed to the patient. Maybe it could even send a notice to a designated staff member when these items were coming up in the months ahead, or a report could be pulled to enable letters to be sent out in advance.

my 2 cents

I think that would be a very good idea. Could you please recommend this to Jon via your application/program from office - (Help/recommended improvements), if not already done.

I dont know how the next update will be -

Oh - and one for routine diabetic care would be nice too!

Podiatry, last A1C, MicroAlb, etc etc some of those would need values as well however.
