I cannot get electronic prescription renewal to work with AC despite numerous calls to Guardian Angels. I keep on getting prescription renewal through FAX - which is lot more time consuming to respond. Every time after working with tech support, it works for 2-3 prescription renewals and then goes back to paper FAX renewal requests.
Are other people having this problem and have people figured out a solution?

Yes, yes, sort of.
And this is likely not the most efficient way to handle this but my nurse handles the Updox workspace for the most part and as the "paper fax" comes in shoots me a message to AC (pt name, drug amount requested, pharmacy) I open the message and send the script refill through AC so the message and prescription transaction all recorded in one message saved. Clunky and extra work? Yes. But it works. and the message saved is more informative than the message saved when sending a prescription through the electronic prescription renewal through new crap (crop).

I have used e prescribing with refills for years. It seems some pharmacies have issues for years. I still have issues with chains like Walmart and Safeway but 2 locally owned pharmacies send me everything by e scrip. Call the manager of a problem pharmacy and try to get to bottom. I explain that I only check e refills on days closed, etc And if they want best service for pt they need to send electronically.

Unlike Steven I have only been e prescribing since last November, so even though I refer to New Crop as New Crap-- I like it a lot and find despite certain inefficiencies that New Crop with AC/Updox sure beats the old handwritten method, but I have not e-prescribed with any other company.

Speaking of New Crap, ePrescribing is the best thing that has happened to medicine since MiraLax.
Of course, JBS will say Su... something.

Hello Everyone,
Unfortunately there is nothing Amazing Charts can directly do to prevent a pharmacy from sending a fax refill request. This is an issue that starts at the pharmacy and not something the program or our E-Rx service can prevent. However what we can do is open communication between your practice, New Crop, Sure Scripts and the pharmacy in question.
The next time you receive a fax refill request, please retain a copy and then contact tech support. We can double check your practice and provider E-Rx account information and message history and make sure everything has been entered correctly. If your account has been recently activated for electronic refills, it may take up to a month before all of the pharmacy databases in your area update to reflect the change and start sending refill requests through Sure Scripts. If this is not the case and your account has been activated for electronic refills for over a month, we will need a copy of the faxed refill request, in order to open a service ticket with New Crop & Sure Scripts, who will then contact the pharmacy to troubleshoot the issue.
Thank you for your continued support, Craig@AC

I simply don't fill it. It's not as if the patient is standing there in the pharmacy. Many of them are meds they haven't been on in months.
When and if the patient contacts our office, we ePrescribe a medication.
