Warning to people paying for AC support or for online backup. For those of you who have been long time users, AC is suddenly saying your credit card has been declined. After several emails back and forth you will be told that you have to "dis-enroll" from AC support and back up for a day or two, then go online and "re-enroll" at a higher rate. It's very frustrating until you finally figure out what they are doing - which happens to be an extremely inefficient way of raising rates. FYI

Hello Dr. Nolte,

In reviewing your account I see that your renewal for OffSite BackUp was scheduled to occur on 7/28/2012. It appears the credit card we have on file for your practice may no longer be valid.

Our current billing system requires that we turn off this plan to allow you to repurchase using a more current credit card. In an effort to minimize the time your practice is without this service, we would like to offer the following suggestion.

We would like to turn your OffSite BackUp Plan off Friday August 3, 2012 between 3:30-4:30pm Eastern Time. With your input, we could arrange to have this done after your office hours to minimize your inconvenience. This will allow you to access our member website, www.amazingcharts.net/ac over the course of the weekend in order to repurchase your OffSite BackUp Plan at your convenience.

You will sign in to this website using the email address and password on file for your practice. Once logged in, you will check off the box that says "OffSite BackUp Plan", and then click on ?Update? at the bottom of the page. You will then be directed to our End User License Agreement that you will need to agree to. The last page is where you will enter your current credit card information and complete the purchase.

Should you have any difficulty with the member website or need assistance with your password over the weekend, please contact our Technical Support Team for assistance by calling 866-382-5932 and selecting option 1.

Please don?t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I was frustrated with the whole thing too and was just told well AC is so cheap already to just deal with it...which i think was a crappy answer...if they were extending it to the fact that all current users get another two years out of it they should have extended the courtesy for those who had expiring credit cards...but alas i didn't get it frown

I think a policy letter sent out would help a lot. This was addressed 5/11 last year but nothing happened. Is our rate going up every time the credit card changes or should we all get debit cards that don't expire.

This was discussed a lot. There are a lot of details that become cumbersome to send out notices. Prices go up, when you have to renew, the price increases. That is the way I understand the policy.

While I liked the old policy (kept my costs down) I understand and support the charging of the current price.
