Has anyone used Xlink interface between AC and Lytec 2011? And how does it work? I know of one person who is using Xlink Interface to Medisoft and she says that it works very erratically. According to her more information transfers from Medisoft to AC but the reverse flow of information - CPT & ICD9 codes- to Medisoft does not work. She also informed me that Xlink software is unrefundable and their technical support is very poor. Most of the support on this issue is provided by AC because Xlink is usually MIA.

I would like to know the experience of other people with Xlink before spending money for it.

Sanjeev,
I have been using X-Link as an interface between AC and Lytec for about 2 years. Overall, I have been using X-Link for about 6 years, previously with Praxis and Lytec 2006. Demographics are put into Lytec only, then imported into AC with a shift f12. The girls in my office keep up with this without any problems. I then create a superbill with desired cpt code in AC and it is imported into Lytec with the first 4 icd-9 codes automatically. Although not flawless, it works well most of the time. My biller will review all of the charges before submitting them, cleaning up some minor things like POS (I have multiple clinics that I go to), then submit. I currently have x-link installed on an XP machine that is pushing the limits, occasionally causing some problems, but use this machine only for X -link (retired workstation). Customer service has been good the few times I've had to deal with them. I did not purchase their service contract so I have to sign a credit card agreement for each call and they bill me in 15 min increments. I then watch what they do and can fix most things on my own now. I belIeve I paid around $700 when I first purchased in 2006 but minor updates to AC and Lytec do not require an x-link update. Is it worth it? Yes, IMO. Is it flawless? No, but is anything? I hope this helps.

I have recently installed AC and wanting to know if anyone has used Medisoft Communications to setup HL 7 messenger to communicate between (both to and from)AC and Medisoft.
Per tech support you have the ability to do this and do not need X Link to do it.
This requires a code from AZ, which they freely give you on a free trial for a month and a code from Medisoft. This is where the problem starts as you are unable to get this code.
