I have a partner that has about 5 workers comp patients who he also takes care of their general health, how is the best way in AC to document this--is it best to have a separate chart for the Workers comp stuff and a separate chart for the general care??

Jimmie,
No reason to have separate charts. Just make sure that the visits are not co-mingled If they are there for a Workmen's Comp. visit, do not cover non-Workmen's Comp. issues and vice versa. We also make sure that we put their claim number at the top of the chart notes so it is clear what the visit is about.

I put CC: l&i claim number and date of injury. Then move to HPI. This makes claims easy to pick out when you go into past encounters.
