One of the many reasons, I recommend servers is that they are better at handling background services, which mean they process loads equally. No specific preference is given to the application running in the foreground. You can enable this setting on your Windows 7/Vista/XP Main computer to optimize your processor scheduling.
Windows 7/XP/Vista: 1. Right Click Computer/My Computer (Start Menu) 2. Windows 7/Vista: Advanced System Settings (on the left) Windows XP: Skip to Step 3 3. Select the Advanced Tab 4. Under the Performance Section, Select Settings 5. Go to the Advanced Tab 6. Under the Processor Scheduling (Adjust for the best Performance of) Section, Select Background Services. 7. Click Apply and OK
Fast way Windows 7/XP/Vista: 1. Click Run in the Start Menu (Windows XP)/Type it Directly into the Start Menu (Windows 7/Vista) 2. Type "SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe" (without the quotes) 3. Go to the Advanced Tab 4. Under the Processor Scheduling (Adjust for the best Performance of) Section, Select Background Services. 5. Click Apply and OK

Nice find. Never saw the background data preference. Thanks.
