I recently began inserting pictures into my AC. I could not find a previous comment on the topic and wondered if anyone has pearls to share. So far, I have found that patients like them; they show up on the Summary Sheets I give to them at the beginning of each visit. They also help me remember new patients better. I have learned to crop the pictures to a square size to avoid distortion and to keep the KB size to a minimum to save space. Any pearls from the vets? Jim

I've not started doing pictures. Somehow I feel like I'd be setting it up like the DMV and make people "smile".
Seriously, I do like the idea, we still see so many new people, I can't recall who they are until after a few visits.
Jim, how about sharing how you are doing this and what you've done so far. BTW...I love the idea of printing out the summary sheet. Now why did I think of that?

Barbara, All you need is a cheap digital camera with a flash. We are careful not to ask for a photo when someone is ill; we have yet to have anyone who is reluctant. Be sure to set the camera on the lowest resolution to conserve computer memory. My receptionist simply takes a close up picture and downloads them onto the desktop and into a patient folder at the end of the day. We then rename each one and crop the pictures to a square to comply with the 2 X 2 photo space on the AC Demographic Page. You then simply click on "add a picture" and follow the browser, double click on the picture and it is addes to the page. Don't forget to click save at the bottom of the page. It sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't and it is amazing how putting a face with a patient visit helps out at the end of the day. I also really like printing out the Summary Sheet for the patient at each visit; it is amazing how many corrections are made. The pictures are printed out on the Summary Sheet as well. Jim
