Hello everyone. We are currently in trial mode and evaluating the software. Glad to see we have a user group to help resolve issues. What is the best way to track orders and report on the ones not completed and which are completed so we can send out our results letter to the patient. I see the reporting option: Labs and Orders not completed, but this report does not allow adding the name of the order or order date. Thanks Pete

Just click View menu and Orders or Ctrl O for the orders screen. You can have staff mark orders as Pending once they are sent out and complete once they return. I have personally gone to doing this on paper as it seems easier, and have a place to check off ordered, received, and informed for after we call the patient. I get the results of each lab in my message box through the Labcorp interface, and then I call the patient and tell them about the results. Then I mark it as complete. You can create custom orders as well for everything from labs to imaging. It should have the date included.

Chris,
Thanks for the quick response. Makes sense. What is the difference between reconcile with imported results or just marking the order as complete? I don't know if these type of questions should be for the board or get a list and call support.

I found my answer. Double click to view actual results. Very nice feature.

Double click takes opens the patient's chart. You can right click for some other options, e.g. generate letter to patient.

as you evaluate the software, try RIGHT CLICKING ON EVERYTHING and especially in the text fields of a patient note. And especially from the desktop, type in a patient name on the left window pain and then right click on it the name. Cool [censored] happens w/ right mouse button and millions of awesome hidden features which the right mouse button uncovers.

Thanks, I am trying to see how AC handles all the functions of our current EMR( I wrote for my wife the Internist). We have been using it for the past 6 years and it does everything she wants including SOAP notes, tracking of tests and orders, callbacks and when writing a letter to the patient allows a date range from last visit to present date and prints all results for that time period so she can include those with the letter. I like AC but have to have good work arounds for her needed tasks. Only changing because the govt says we have to. This appears like a winner so far. Perhaps if I can polish up on my Crystal Reports skills I can write her reports outside the software.
