There was a 6.2.1 that was very briefly released, but the next day or two an email came out stating don't use, wait for the next version soon. That was about 2 weeks ago.
I don't know how they choose beta testers, but you do have to be prepared for some weird things to happen sometimes. One time printing prescriptions (back in the day sooooooooo long ago) would either crash or give incomplete results. Other annoyances have also cropped up.
I always start beta tests on my home machine and play with it for an hour or so with a simulated workload off an old (but updated) database. 6.2.1 made it to my home machine but no further. I didn't see a lot of differences between it and 6.1.2, but didn't test it extensively before the message came out. I haven't gone backwards, I will wait for the next one. I should point out that some betas I have found out about on the user board, not through emails.
