Currently using v5.029 and would like to download v 6.1.2 (rapid beta) onto my laptop to test drive before upgrading server and 35+ workstations. How do I get to the beta version to download?

A question on 6.1.12
Can it coexist on same DB/network with other workstations running 6.0.10?
Can I try it out on my workstation without upgrading all?

Not quite that easy. At a minimum, you'll need to upgrade the DB {AFTER a SOLID backup], run the tuner, and run the installer on that machine.

If you are not liking that, you have to uninstall/restart/reinstall/restore.

Roger, try downloading the v6.1.2 onto a machine that is NOT connected to your network. Play with it and if you like it, then upgrade the entire network.
As Indy pointed out, if the machine is connected to the network it will tell you to run the database tuner which will affect your server and potentially make the entire network unusable for versions which are not 6.1.2.

Thanks, I'll wait.
I prefer experience with live, production data = testing against test data just doesn't float my boat.
