At a minimum, you'll need to upgrade the DB {AFTER a SOLID backup], run the tuner, and run the installer on that machine. If you are not liking that, you have to uninstall/restart/reinstall/restore. Play with it and if you like it, then upgrade the entire network. As Indy pointed out, if the machine is connected to the network it will tell you to run the database tuner which will affect your server and potentially make the entire network unusable for versions which are not 6.1.2.
