I have been reviewing the messages that are usually pdfs from the fax, and have deleted the duplicates so they are not in my message box anymore. However, in the area of looking at the pdfs to sign off on them, after looking at the newer ones, the old deleted ones are still there (though, they are not in my box anymore)....why? Is there some way to clear these out?

What privilege settings do you allow for staff? Under the admin settings. This can affect how messages are handled.

At the message window, choose Deleted Messages from the drop down menu. Then at the lower right, choose Delete All.

The message area is not the problem. These are all being deleted properly.
If you get a NEW message and handle that one, if you look in the top left part of this screen (the sign off screen, where you can sign, transfer or move to the next one), it shows a message #, now stating 4 of 20....but there are not 19 other messages...and if I cycle through the ones on top, all the old ones I reviewed and signed are still there! Why? How do I clear the cache?

I have not encountered this issue. Was Guardian angel support able to help?

If you are talking about the counters in the blue area of the main screen (Scheduled Patients, Messages & Renewals), I was able to reset incorrect counters by running the Database Tuner again. Run a backup first.

John, I don't think he is talking about that, though running the tuner may fix his problem.
Neil, it sounds like some of the items in your "Sign-off dialog box" (the one that opens when you click on a message to "sign-off") are staying there. So I think you are saying that the items are still showing in that box, and are still counted in the numbers at the top left, despite having been signed-off. If you look in the patient's chart, are they red or black? If red, something is preventing them from being signed-off. Right click each item in imported items to sign them off that way and see if they disappear from the "Sign-off box" and counter.
If they are black in the chart in Imported Items...this sounds like one for the Guardian Angels.

Ah, I understand. This was happening for a while when importing by the staff using Updox, I recall, a few weeks ago. They fixed it however. I haven't seen this with a direct import of PDFs into AC however.

Thanks all. It is black in the signed regions...however, some are not there at all as they were deleted before signing as they were duplicates that I didn't want in the record.
Spoke to GS on friday and they looked into it...apparently a v5 bug....I am planning on going to 6 next week....(wish me luck, a little scared!).
Hopefully this will work.
