For purposes of more accurate Data Recording for MU:
Do you consider a patient to be a current smoker if they are using electronic cigarettes?
-some use just the water vapor (guess they would classified as "previous smokers")
-some use water vapor and added liquid Nicotine (guess they would be classified as "current smokers")
Should we have another classification - "Electronic Smokers"?

I get your question. However it seems to me the answer is "none of the above.". I'd just put the information into the social history in whatever detail seems necessary, then click whatever MU Choice suits your fancy. I see the reason to deal with that menu at all is to get paid MU money, not count on it to be medically useful.

This is basically what I keep in mind when I (briefly) struggle to decide the answer to a difficult "MU question". This is NOT a question whose answer will effect the quality of patient care.
